The Research Group for International Development and Urban Planning (Research Exchange Subcommittee of the City Planning Institute of Japan) will hold its 22nd Conference of International Development and Urban Planning (CIDUP2026) on Sunday, December 12, 2026, as detailed below. We look forward to welcoming a wide range of participants, including researchers, practitioners, graduate students, and undergraduates, whose interests lie in the related research areas in Asia, Africa, and the other developing regions.​

- Anyone whose research theme corresponds with the theme of the conference.

- Membership of CPIJ is not required.

Abstract Acceptance Notification: Early October, 2026

- Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent to all primary authors by email.​

Full Paper Submission Deadline: 2nd November, 2026

- title, author(s), affiliation(s), contact address, 4 pages extended abstract or 6-10 pages of full paper

Full Paper Acceptance and Presentation Program Notification: Mid-November, 2026
