The International Development and Urban Planning Group is a research exchange subcommittee established in the City Planning Institute of Japan. Since 2003, we have held the conferences for researchers and practitioners, both in Japan and abroad, to present their research mainly dealing with developing countries. We hope that these opportunities will foster mutual understanding and exchanges among students, researchers, practitioners, and civic groups, and will further develop into a hub for Asian and African city planning research in the world.
